It's hard to believe it's been a year since anything was posted to this page. As the writer of this blog, I guess I got busy or distracted by other life events and didn't realize nothing had been posted, for that I apologize.
So here we are in a new year, actually, almost to the end of the first month already. Many people use this time to evaluate the previous year and begin planning for the upcoming year. Maybe you're starting to look through seed catalogs to plan the garden. Maybe there is a trip or two you're hoping to schedule. Or maybe, it's the long overdue cleaning out of the garage or basement. Whatever the plans, remember to include time for spiritual growth. Maybe you'll want to schedule a time each week to just reflect on your spiritual life in general, asking God to show you the areas that need nurturing. Maybe you'll want to get a new Bible to see what God reveals on crisp new pages. Maybe it's studying a specific topic, digging deep into each Bible verse that contains that topic. However you decide to make God first this year, let the Holy Spirit wash over you, strengthening your faith for whatever the new year will bring into your life. Amen.
